This is your opportunity to eat for good reason. With every delicious bite, you’ll have the opportunity to support local non-profit organizations in our community serving many needs. On Saturday, Nov. 7, we’ll host the 12th Annual Eggs on the Beach Big Green Egg Cooking Competition, Nov. 7 at Seascape Resort in Miramar Beach.
The popular cooking competition includes a variety of prize categories, including our non-profit cook teams, which compete for cash prizes. With 12 non-profit cook teams currently competing in the 2026 competition, it will be up to them to “wow” the tasters and earn your votes, which determines their donation amount. Here are some of the fantastic non-profit groups that you’ll want to come out and support:
Food For Thought, Fisher House of the Emerald Coast, Rotary Club of South Walton, South Walton Academy, Healing Paws, St. Rita’s Knights of Columbus, Habitat for Humanity Walton County, Northwest Florida Children’s Foundation (DCWAF), Opportunity Place, and Northwest Florida Heritage Museum.
The non-profit category has been a great success over the years and allowed Eggs on the Beach to have a greater impact on our community. Last year, we restructured the cash prizes last year ensuring every non-profit team earns a donation, which is determined by the number of taster votes. We’ve gotten great feedback from our teams and look forward to continuing this model and providing a forum for our non-profit cook teams to connect with the community.
Each cook team of up to six people will receive use of a tent, two tables and a large or extra-large Big Green Egg. Cook Teams are responsible for bringing their ingredients and create bite size portions of their favorite recipes to be judged by all tasters as well as honorary judges who will evaluate bites based on taste, presentation and creativity. Winners will may also receive a prestigious “Judges’ Trophy” award and bragging rights.
For those who have considered owning a Big Green Egg, Demo Eggs, which will be used during the event, will be sold in advance with nest (metal stand) and plate setter for a discounted price. Both large and XLarge Eggs will be sold and all come with a limited lifetime warranty. Demo Eggs can be picked up after the event.

Taster tickets are also on sale now with special advance pricing of $60/adult, $21/child (age 11-17) and kids 10 and under are free. Backyard and restaurant cook teams are $50/team of up to six. Sponsorships are also available.
