As we prep for the 12th Annual Eggs on the Beach Big Green Egg Cooking Competition, Nov. 7 at Seascape Towne Centre, we’re locking in our cook teams and securing our honorary judges.
This year’s group of honorary judges represent a wide variety of backgrounds and experience—including a past winner and judge of the prestigious Acadiana Culinary Classic. Chef Beany Macgregor holds this title and will join Chef Jamielyn Arcega of Fonville Press, returning judge Susan Benton of 30A Eats, Joanna Davis of 850 Foodie and Joshua Daughtery of Saltwater Restaurants to judge the 2026 competition. These five gourmands join a long-list of culinary heavyweights who have judged Eggs on the Beach over the years. Here’s a closer look at our 2026 honorary judges.
We look forward to having tasters join this group of honorary judges to vote for our Taster Choice Winners. The 12th Annual Eggs on the Beach Big Green Egg Cooking Competition will be held at Seascape Towne Center on Nov. 7, and features more than 20 cook teams competing for cash, prizes and the coveted Judge’s Trophies.
Tasters enjoy unlimited bites complemented by live music by the Black Eyed Blonde duo, Becca and Dan Collins, along with flat screen TVs at the Tiki Bar airing the day’s most popular college football games. Beer, wine, cocktails, water and sodas will also be available for purchase at the Tiki Bar. Tasters 21+ are invited to sample Angel’s Envy blends and craft cocktails as well as Abita Brewery’s new Upbeat Vodka Cocktails. The event also includes a chance to win a Mini-Max Big Green Egg as well as products and gift certificates from area businesses.
Proceeds from Eggs on the Beach benefit The Fisher House of the Emerald Coast and Food for Thought as well as non-profit cook teams.
